Introduction of the British-Irish Visa Scheme (BIVS) with effect from 10th Feb 2015
The British-Irish Visa Scheme (BIVS) involves the mutual recognition by Ireland and the United Kingdom of each other’s short-term visit visas. This means that if you have an Irish visit visa which has ‘BIVS’ written on it, you will be able to enter the United Kingdom after you visit Ireland and if you have a British visit visa which has ‘BIVS’ written on it, you will be able to enter Ireland after you visit the United Kingdom as well.
There are multiple conditions on BIVS Scheme. Please refer FAQ for more details which has been attached.
